Help shape the future of digital governance in Nepal by participating in this comprehensive nationwide assessment of ICT systems and infrastructure.
The Digital for Development (D4D) initiative is empowering Nepal's e-Governance Board to advance digital governance. By conducting a nationwide inventory of ICT systems, software, and digital infrastructure, this initiative aims to assess the current state of e-governance, evaluate effectiveness, and shape future strategies.
Catalog all ICT systems, software, and digital infrastructure across government levels.
Identify deficiencies, underutilized areas, and scalable successful initiatives.
Review public interaction with e-governance services and propose improvements.
All ministries, departments, and central government agencies
All 7 provinces, including their ministries and institutions
All 753 local governments including municipalities
The expected outcomes of this initiative include the creation of a comprehensive inventory that provides a detailed catalog of ICT systems and digital infrastructure, systematically classified by service domains. It will deliver a gap analysis accompanied by evidence-based policy recommendations to address deficiencies and optimize resource allocation effectively.
The research aims to explore cross-domain integration through a feasibility study and develop guidelines to enhance data exchange and interoperability among agencies. Furthermore, it will focus on citizen engagement by offering actionable recommendations to increase the adoption of e-governance services and improve the skiis of IT personnel.
